He stays active off the ice, too! William Karlsson, Vegas Golden Knights all-star center and defending Stanley Cup champion, visited PT’s Sierra Gold at South Jones and 215 on March 15 for a pre-St. Patrick’s Day “Day F’n 1 Party” bash emceed by DJ Lee Orchard, the NHL team’s own Vegas Golden Knight.
Karlsson arrived at 6:30 p.m., wearing a casual and oversized hoodie, for a meet-and-greet with fans and to hand out signed hockey pucks and photographs before stepping behind the bar to celebrate, serve drinks and give out raffle prizes, including a limited-edition St. Patrick’s VGK jersey signed by Karlsson himself.
“OK, who’s up first?!” Karlsson said as the meet-and-greet began.
Entry to the event was $25 and included a complimentary shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey, party favors and the signed giveaways. Guests receive one raffle ticket for their cover at the door and an additional ticket for every purchase of Jameson throughout the celebration.
Guests also enjoyed the venue’s happy hour specials available from 5 to 7 p.m., including 50% off premium spirits and all craft and imported beer and $6 cheese or pepperoni 10-inch personal pizzas.
Unlike his raucous and memorable Stanley Cup celebration on the Las Vegas Strip, Karlsson kept his shirt on this time around.
