AMBIENCE
A favorite late-night dine, Cleaver on Paradise is a classic American steakhouse in an elevated and fun space with dim lighting and zero pretension. The portraits of celebrities – Martha Stewart, Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley – as historical figures add to the frivolity, and Cleaver is great for dinner for deux and large groups.
MENU RECOMMENDATIONS
Must-order items include the tomahawk that’s great for sharing, squid ink pasta, beef carpaccio (charred onion aioli, balsamic glaze, crispy capers, Parmesan, arugula, truffle vinaigrette), Spanish octopus (bravas sauce, black garlic aioli, saffron potatoes) and pork belly mac and cheese.
PRO TIPS
Order the steak Cleaver-style; it’s a once-a-year indulgence that’s worth every calorie. And don’t ignore the solid and inventive cocktail program. Nectaly Mendoza also oversees his OG Herbs & Rye and the new breakfast and lunch spot Middle Child nearby Cleaver.
