The Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas has been a buzz of activity. The museum, officially the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announced a June roster that includes a BOGO free admission special for locals before 11 a.m. through June 30, Frank Calabrese Jr.’s continuing “Family Secrets” speaking engagement and the public program “She Knew Too Much: The Tragic Story of Jazz Age Con Woman Vivian Gordon.”
The Underground speakeasy and distillery invited guests to enjoy live music and drink specials for National Moonshine Day on June 5; the promotion ran June 3-5. While at The Underground, be certain to ask about the new secret cocktail menu (the gin tea cocktail is fantastic) and order food (the charcuterie is great and filling). Go to TheMobMuseum.org for all current and future promotions, specials and events.
On April 17, The Mob Museum welcomed its 4 millionth visitor, marking a milestone in its history. The 4 millionth guest, Kathi Bellucci, joined by husband Glen of Arizona, received a prize package that included lifetime admission to the museum, a ceremonial key, merchandise, a cake and a champagne toast in the museum’s appreciation for the public’s continued interest and support.
Hundreds of guests posed for a photo opportunity throughout the day with a custom thematic lineup plaque in front of the museum’s lineup wall.
The Mob Museum is also active with podcasts, and The Underground features cocktails and live music and weekend jazz entertainment until midnight Thursdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
