In honor of the late Robin Leach, Vegas Prime Magazine has reimagined his longtime Wicked Whispers & Racy Rumors as Vegas Prime Magazine Whispers – as a tip of the toque to the very-much-missed colleague, mentor and friend.

Which Las Vegas headliner has to wait until the first few weeks of ticket sales to determine if the run of shows will be extended? It’s not an uncommon practice, but it also means not buying a house in Sin City just yet.

Which celebrity restaurateur is pushing pause on a restaurant expansion, contrary to what employees have been told, to see how the soft opening goes? It’s not an uncommon practice, but it also means the soft opening has been … softer than expected.

One celebrity chef says a high-end restaurant with Peking duck on the menu is not actually serving Peking duck, so it’s misleading. You could say the vibe dining menu is not all it’s quacked up to be.

Why were there recently two “Jersey Boys” grand opening celebrations at The Orleans in one month? Simple answer: The award-winning production changed ownership.

CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS

The new Play Playground at the Luxor welcomed UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis and rapper-actor Ludacris in mid-April. In partnership with Ignite Spirits, du Plessis hosted a meet-and-greet at Play Playground, where he poured cocktails, signed bottles and participated in the larger-than-life games, including throwing himself at the Velcro wall and riding the two-story slide. That same weekend, Ludacris stopped by Play Playground and enjoyed cocktails and games while receiving love on the lightboard, which he posted on his Instagram.

On March 2, MMA fighter Eryk Anders celebrated his UFC Fight Night 238 win against Jamie Pickett at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club Las Vegas. Anders and his posse arrived about 2 a.m., enjoyed bottle service in a VIP section where he toasted to multiple shots of Casamigos Reposado, snapped photos with the club’s entertainers, staff and patrons, made it rain and mixed and mingled with fans before departing after 5 a.m.
