Five-time Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Janet Jackson made her venue debut Dec. 30 at Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, kicking off New Year’s week with her all-new residency “Janet Jackson: Las Vegas.”
In the first performance of her 10-show residency, Jackson brought the sold-out crowd to their feet as she took the stage to booming applause. Throughout the electric, high-energy two-hour performance, fans joined the megastar in singing along to iconic hits from her decades-long career, including “Control,” “All For You” and “Together Again,” among many others.
Celebrity guests in attendance at Dec. 30’s performance included actor, filmmaker and playwright Tyler Perry and actress Tasha Smith. Jackson returned to the stage Dec. 31 to close out 2024 with another highly anticipated, sold-out performance before counting down to 2025 on the Las Vegas Strip. Her NYE performance reportedly was 30 minutes longer than her debut night.
Jackson performed at Resorts World Theatre on Jan. 3 and 4 and has six remaining shows on sale now for Feb. 5, 7-8, 12 and 14-15 – yes, Jackson is performing on the Strip on Valentine’s Day. Her Jan. 4 performance was back at two hours.
The 5,000-capacity theater at Resorts World, exclusively programmed and operated by Concerts West/AEG Presents, is a state-of-the-art, multilevel venue designed by the award-winning international design firm Scéno Plus.
