Grammy Award-winning rap icon Nas has announced three additional dates of Nas with the Las Vegas Philharmonic at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. After three sold-out performances during his venue debut over Labor Day Weekend, Nas will return on Feb. 5 and 7-8.
Fans can once again experience the exclusive-to-Las Vegas performances featuring classical renditions of Nas’s chart-topping hits from his historic debut album “Illmatic” combined with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Tickets for all performances are on sale now.
During his Aug. 31 performance, Nas said, “I could get used to doing this Vegas thing. I might extend it,” referencing his now-extended residency. The three performances saw thousands of fans celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Illmatic,” ranked the No. 1 greatest rap album of all time by Billboard.
In a recent review, Billboard said the collaboration of Nas and the philharmonic is an experience that “takes fans down memory lane” of the historic album, while another publication said the performance was “kinetic.” Each night, fans heard classics including “If I Ruled the World” and “It Ain’t Hard to Tell.”
