Pacific Concert Group and Jammin’ 105.7’s annual Love Affair returns to Orleans Arena on Saturday, Feb. 8, to celebrate more than 20 years of performances. The concert will showcase stars from old school R&B, including Next, Jon B, Color Me Badd, Heatwave, Malo, Evelyn Champagne King, The Force MD’s and more.

R&B trio Next rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, achieving success with their chart-topping single “Too Close,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group is also known for their hits “Wifey,” “Butta Love” and “I Still Love You.”

Singer-songwriter and record producer Jon B splashed onto the music scene with his debut album “Bonafide,” which featured “Pretty Girl” and the Grammy-nominated “Someone to Love.” His sophomore album “Cool Relax” was RIAA-certified platinum and included “Are U Still Down” with the late Tupac Shakur.

Grammy-nominated R&B group Color Me Badd gained global success for their iconic tracks “I Wanna Sex You Up,” “I Adore Mi Amor” and “All 4 Love.” They sold more than 12 million records and have two Soul Train Music Awards and one American Music Award.

Funk and disco band Heatwave is known for many hits, including “Boogie Nights,” “The Groove Line” and “Always and Forever.” The group achieved RIAA gold and platinum certifications for their albums “Too Hot to Handle” and “Central Heating.”

One of the most successful Latin rock bands in the world, Malo was formed by Arcelio Garcia and Jorge Santana, the brother of Latin-rock guitarist Carlos Santana. With performances spanning the globe, they have shared the stage with legendary acts such as The Rolling Stones and Queen.

Singer-songwriter and producer Evelyn “Champagne” King is known for her hit disco single “Shame,” which helped pushed the genre to the height of its popularity. Her enduring musical legacy features beloved hits including “I’m in Love,” “Love Come Down” and “Your Personal Touch.”

R&B and new jack swing group The Force MD’s rose to fame as one of the first vocal groups to mix doo-wop over hip-hop instrumentals. While rooted in old school hip-hop, The Force MD’s gained prominence for their soulful R&B hits including “Tender Love,” “Love Is a House,” “Tears” and “Here I Go Again.”
