In rock star style, Sammy’s Island made a splashy debut at Palms Casino Resort on May 17. The music was pumping, and the beach vibes were booming at the tropical oasis by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar.

Alongside longtime bandmates Michael Anthony and Vic Johnson, Hagar arrived onstage during a set by tribute band Red Voodoo. Hagar, aka “The Red Rocker,” belted out hits “Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy” and “There’s Only One Way to Rock” to the delight of his loyal fans “The Redheads.”

The Sammy’s Island stage will host All- Star Jam performances this summer. The series includes All-Star Jam: Hosted by Sixwire on July 20, headlined by Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath, Matt Scanell of Vertical Horizon, The Rembrandts and Emerson Hart. More information and tickets for all events are at Palms.com.

The Palms Pool has been reimagined and redesigned with Hagar’s signature Baja beach vibe imprinted on premium spirits, food, the live music series and design elements and fabric patterns in the Red Rocker Bungalows. Sammy’s Island, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through pool season.

Hotel guests of all ages are welcome during the day. An adult must accompany children younger than 18, and non-hotel guests and locals must be 21+. Back by popular demand, Palms Pool is offering free cabanas for locals Mondays through Thursdays.
