Music and entertainment legend and four-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie will have fans “Dancing on the Ceiling” when he headlines Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas for six performances on Nov. 6, 8-9, 13 and 15-16. Richie also has announced 2025 dates: Jan. 15 and 18-19 and April 9 and 11-12.
With a storied career first with The Commodores, then as a mega-successful solo artist, Richie’s list of solo hits is memorable and long: “Endless Love” with Diana Ross, “Truly,” “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “Stuck on You,” “Say You, Say Me” from “White Nights,” “Dancing on the Ceiling” and “Ballerina Girl.”
Richie’s hits with The Commodores include “Easy,” “Sail On,” “Three Times a Lady” and “Still” before his departure. In 1980, he wrote and produced the No. 1 single “Lady” for Kenny Rogers.
Richie, 75, has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the world’s bestselling artists of all time. His Grammy Awards include for Song of the Year for “We Are the World” and Album of the Year for “Can’t Slow Down.”
“Say You, Say Me” won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and Richie was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Richie joined “American Idol” as a judge in 2018.
Are you ready for his ballads or dance pop hits? If Richie’s previous headliner residency at Planet Hollywood is any indication, you’ll be saying “Hello” to Richie once again at Encore Theater, as he’s still a crowd-pleaser and an entertainer at heart. Outrageous!
